
In this weekend's Associates and Enchantees joint tournaments, the 7th grade girls took 3rd place while the 8th grade boys black also took 3rd.
The 8th grade boys black took 3rd place in the Rebels tournament on April 26-27.
The 8th grade boys black took 3rd place in the BCSFYAO Taisho tournament on April 13. The 7th grade girls took 3rd place in the BCSFYAO Ardenettes 8th grade division tournament. Nicely done!!
It was an exciting weekend (April 5-6) as we hosted our 8th annual tournament with 113 teams participating from all over the Bay Area and as far as Sacramento and Los Angeles.
The 12th Grade Girls took 2nd place against the Sacramento Barons.
The 11th Grade Girls also took 2nd place against the Sacramento Barons.
The 10th Grade Girls Black team took championship vs the San Jose Ninjas in another exciting game! This is the girls' 6th win in six years as hosts of this tournament. Congratulations on your winning streak!
The 8th Grade Girls team took championship vs the East Bay Rising Suns in a very close game. It was truly an emotional game for our organization. The girls went straight to the hospital to deliver Matty his championship trophy.
The 8th Grade Boys Black took championship vs the Foster City Flyers in overtime. This is the first time they beat the Flyers.
The 7th Grade Boys Black came in 5th in their division.

The 11th Grade Girls took consolation at SASF (March 29-30).
The 10th Grade Girls Black Dragons 3rd Place vs Na Ali's of FOR at the San Jose Ninjas Tournament (March 22-23) after an exciting game against the Sacramento Warlords and the LA Tigers.
March 15-16 was the conclusion weekend to the SJUMC tournament and it was the upper grades' turn to compete.
In close and exciting games all around, the 7th Grade Boys Black came back from a 20 point deficit only to lose to the Oakland Rams by 1 point in the 4th quarter. This was after they beat Ohtani in the first game and a successfull turnaround win against BVUMC. It was still a close and heart pumping game.
As expected, Matty's 8th Grade Girls team took Championship in their division. Matty was a bit under the weather but in true Matty-style, he was on the bench supporting and coaching the girls.
The 8th Grade Boys Black also took the Championship trophy home after victories over San Jose CYS C-2, Stockton Shoguns and finally Diablo C-2. While the first game was a challenge, the boys must have gotten used to the Sacramento air because as the Stockton coach commented to Coach Chester Huie, "don't your boys ever get tired?" Maybe they were looking forward to their first teen social that evening...hmmm

This weekend (March 8,9th) was the SJUMC tournament for the younger grades. The 3rd grade boys black team won 2nd place in the E division against the Chinese Community Church of Sacramento. It was their first tournament and the organization is very proud that they took 2nd in their rookie year. The team won their first game against the Cavaliers in overtime by 2 points, followed by a big win in their 2nd game against the SF Flying Eagles. The Dragons lost in the championship game to the 4th grade team from the Chinese Community Church of Sacramento by only 8. What a great way to end their first tournament!! Congratulations to our 3rd grade boys black team!!
The 6th Grade Girls team won the championship in the D-Gold Division against a very tough Buena Vista team. It was a very exciting and close game but our Dragons team took it all the way beating the Ardenettes in the 1st game and the SJUMC host team in the 2nd. Congratulations to our 6th grade girls team!!
