The following Dragon players were nominated this year to represent the North teams in the 2008 North/South All Star High School Tournament:

12th Grade Girls: Hallie Meneses

11th Grade Girls: Amanda Chow, Kristina Lum, Vivian Ho

9th Grade Girls: Taylor Collins, Keani Hin

9th Grade Boys Black: Jorell Cacatian

The North/South High School Basketball Tournament will be held, Friday - Sunday, August 1-3 at Harvest Park Middle School, 4900 Valley Avenue in Pleasanton. Each team will play one game each day.

The North/South tournament was created 15 years ago to provide a platform where top Asian players could display their skills on a higher level with top-notch competition throughout the state. The players selected for this event were nominated by organizations, coaches, and committee members throughout California who are then ranked according to athletic ability, leadership, and sportsmanship. Each team is comprised of the top ten (10) players in the same grade level. They will play against their Southern counterpart in a three game series and the overall winner will be determined by total games won in all divisions.
